Mecklenburg County Courthouse : courtrooms that always meet the need

Renowned for its expertise in this area, Beaubois realized the architectural woodwork contract for the Mecklenburg County Courthouse in Charlotte (NC).

The new building is laid out to meet the varied needs of its users. The Family Court's rooms are all located on the first floor and designed to be adapted to the different cases heard there. In some, there are more tables for a growing number of participants; in others, the judge's bench is lower and less intimidating to children.

Producing custom-made furnishings and woodwork unique to a particular building? That is Beaubois strength! Judges' chambers, attorneys' tables, wall panels, tables, jury benches, public benches, doors and frames in dyed cherry all reflect the creative talent and versatility of the firm's team.

This triangular building hosts 34 courtrooms, all octagonal, over 7 floors. It is a great improvement over the previous facilities where the courtrooms were spread over four different buildings.
