Beaubois put its stamp in Pittsburgh, PA
Constructed in 1932, the historic Pittsburgh Post Office and Federal Courthouse building kept its original cachet, thanks, in part, to the Beaubois team.
Beaubois was awarded the contract to custom-make and install architectural woodwork in this impressive 10 storey building in downtown Pittsburgh. The woods selected for the project were sapele, zebrawood, cherry, oak and maple while plastic laminate was used for some other elements.
The two atriums that flood the building with natural light and six courtrooms feature Beaubois' artistry: judges' benches, witness stands, work areas for the court clerks, seats for the public, wall paneling, frames and mouldings. The firm also enhanced the six Judge's Chambers, each equipped with a private office, a conference room, facilities for the secretarial staff, etc.
A delicate task with great appeal for the Beaubois team!
