Already awe-inspiring because of its capacity, the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort is one of Central Florida's largest convention centres. Its 99 meeting rooms include one of the largest column-free (95,000 ft²) ball rooms in the United States.
With its 1900's Spanish revival architecture style, the resort recalls the elegance of Florida's early days. Guests stroll under high archways whose warm earth tones are complemented by carefully-selected cherry, maple and yellow poplar wood.
Of special note, Beaubois crafted and installed 52 types of moulding for this project alone! The mouldings are fitted together in many different ways, sometimes creating strips that are 24 inches high. An eye-catching achievement, behind which lies rigorous coordination.
The masterpiece rooms, the ballroom and the rotunda, feature ceilings decorated with baulks and columns dressed in wood. A very delicate touch was needed to install these elements. Beaubois also created and installed reception, bar and buffet counters, the bars in the suites and vanities.
At the same time, Beaubois is working on two other hotel projects, one of which, the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle (WA) is for the same chain. The second, the largest contract in the firm's history ($US16M), is the Pinnacle Casino & Luxury Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri.
These are huge projects but Beaubois is more than equal to the challenge!
Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, part of the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts chain, offers all of the services today's guests desire: spa with 9 treatment rooms, exercise centre, 4 outdoor pools, 2 lighted tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts and a 7,728-yard championship golf course. The convention centre features function space equipped with the latest technology. Its largest room can accommodate 9,050 people, theatre-style.
