Centre hospitalier Pierre-Le Gardeur

Beaubois lent its expertise to the construction of a major Ambulatory Care health centre in Quebec.

The firm manufactured and installed all the finishing woodwork for the new Pierre-Le Gardeur Hospital, in Lachenaie (QC). This was the largest contract that Beaubois had ever secured in the province.

This project not only called for wood (maple, plastic laminate) but also for numerous stainless steel and glass elements. The items produced included several reception counters in the main entrance area, walk-in closets, windowsills, room mouldings, some ceilings, maple panelling, kitchen, sanitary installations and decorative pieces combining stainless steel and glass.

The new building is divided into 3 wings:

  • A Wing: 5 floors including a garden level first floor.
This wing houses several care units : surgical medicine, active geriatrics, geriatric medicine, parent-child module, psychiatry, paediatrics, rehabilitation, etc.

  • B Wing: 3 floors
Here, one finds the main reception, the auditorium, the oncology centre, day surgery, dialysis, surgery and surgical specialties, internal medicine and non-surgical specialties, etc.

  • C Wing: 2 floors.
The operating theatres, laboratories, specialized care facility, imaging and nuclear medicine, emergency, inhalation therapy, psychology, etc. are located in this wing.

Beaubois made certain that even the tiniest details reflected the sophisticated nature of this institution.

Over the years, Beaubois has been involved in several hospital projects in Canada and the United States.
