Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont, selected Beaubois to produce and install the architectural woodwork and custom furnishings for its new six-storey wing, which provides hospital personnel with an efficient work place and patients with aesthetically appealing, restful surroundings.
Beech, wild cherry and walnut help create this supportive environment. Sometimes, these woods are found in concert with other materials and the architectural elements provide the perfect complement to the glass, the metal and the granite-topped counters.
A number of wooden ceilings, some wood lath, add to the facility's appeal. Beaubois also manufactured two types of acoustic panels.
