A new cancer treatment hospital in North Carolina
Beaubois is once again working in a hospital setting, this time on the North Carolina Cancer Hospital, which will be an integral part of the UNC Hospitals Complex at Chapel Hill.
The firm will be working in many different areas of the building : reception, security posts, traffic areas and the rooms. To meet the various needs, Beaubois will be using maple, cherry, anigre and plastic laminate. Stainless steel elements will be inserted in numerous items.
The new 320,000 square-foot hospital will be able to treat both adults and children, using the latest equipment available. It will provide cancer care to North Carolinians from all 100 of the state's counties.
A Beaubois team is currently producing the designs. The installation will be finished in March 2009 and the official opening of the new hospital will take place near the end of that year.
