Banning Justice Center

Beaubois works on interior of New Banning Courthouse

Ébénisterie Beaubois will contribute to the construction of the Banning Justice Center, beautifying the six courtrooms and the public spaces with architectural woodwork and custom furniture.

In all rooms, the company will build and install desks for judges and clerks, benches for witnesses and spectators, railings separating seating areas for juries and spectators, along with wall paneling. Solid pergola-like woodwork complements the skylights. The Beaubois team will also create built-in furniture for administrative staff.

The company will produce and install the hallway wall panels, using flat and quarter sawn wood for the drop ceilings above the doors to create a unique texture. Different types of African mahogany and anigre will enhance the building.

The lobby showpiece will be compound angle wall panels, with special acoustic properties to provide better sound quality, that soar up to the lobby's second storey.

The Banning courthouse was designed to receive the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification and blends practical design with measurable ecological impacts and green solutions for the operation and maintenance of the building.

The architecture and interior of the Banning Justice Center reflect the motto of the town of Banning: Proud History, Prosperous Tomorrow, and the building is becoming a focal point in Riverside County, one of California's fastest-growing counties in recent years.
