Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital

Beaubois breaks into the Alberta market

With several projects already under its belt in British Columbia, Ébénisterie Beaubois has now landed its first contract in Alberta, at the new Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital.

The firm will carry out all the architectural woodwork for this healthcare institution. The reception furniture, nursing stations, waiting room benches, suspended ceilings, wall panels, fireplace mantles, storage cupboards in the rooms, doors and administrators' desks will all be crafted by the Beaubois team.

In addition to the woods that have been selected, maple, cherry and ash, Beaubois will be working with stainless steel and acrylic-a wonderful variety that will give the hospital a unique look.

Replacing the facility that has served the population for 41 years, the new hospital will have 38 acute care beds, a modernized emergency and various outpatient departments. A Day Clinic building will also be constructed and linked to the hospital. It will house several community health services including Child and Family Services and the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission.

The new facilities will help reduce waiting lists, which is good news for local residents as well as people living in the neighbouring counties of Lamont, Gibbons and Bon Accord.

A promising first step for Beaubois in Alberta, so watch for more to follow.
