Philadelphia's Albert Einstein Medical Center

Beaubois participates in the fit-up of a new building for Philadelphia's Albert Einstein Medical Center

An integral part of a vast enlargement project that will double the area of the campus, the new medical centre will have 146 beds for critical, surgical and medical care and one of its five floors will be completely dedicated to the mothers/infants healthcare program.

Beaubois will put its stamp on each room, fabricating and installing all the counters and tall cupboards and, thanks to its new factory line, the solid surface counters. The company will also participate in fitting up the main reception area with furniture and wall panels. Finally, it will create a very special work, the Artonauts Wall, composed of angled panels that will create the same effect as bricks.

Replacing an outdated facility, the new center and its emergency department will be equipped with cutting-edge technology, including imaging for establishing diagnoses and providing efficient care. In addition, it will house all the ancillary services and beds for preoperative and postoperative patients.

Since 1955, the Albert Einstein Medical Center (AEMC) has been one of the most important institutions in the US devoted to medical education as well as clinical and basic research. The AEMC is one of the first major medical schools to have integrated bedside experience and real case studies into its medical courses starting in the first year of the program.

From its founding, the College of Medicine's doors have been open to students of all creeds and races. It is this philosophy, one in which he took great pride, that induced Dr. Einstein to agree to allowing the institution to bear his name.

The Albert Einstein Medical Center has more than 600 primary care doctors and specialists and nearly 1,200 affiliated doctors on staff. It trains more than 360 residents and treats more than 90,000 patients a year, making it one of the busiest hospitals in the Philadelphia area.
