History

2009 :

Beaubois opens an office in Quebec City dedicated to engineering and project management.
Purchase of computerized equipment to increase production capacity.

Sales volume: $63M

2008 :

Beaubois is now working in more than 30 U.S. States and in Canada.
Number of employees: 400
Sales volume: $45M

2007 :

Implementation of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System.
Painting room expanded by 1,040 m² (11,200 ft2).
Purchase of a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining - 5 axis. Beaubois is one of the few companies to own one in Canada.


2005 :

Addition of a specialized integrated unit for high-end kitchen casework.
Major purchase of computerized production equipment.
Number of employees: 300
Sales volume: $40M

2004 :

Beaubois becomes one of the first architectural woodworking firms to acquire 3D parametric design software.
Sales volume: $40M

2002 :

Plant surface area: 14,870 m² (160,000 ft²)
Sales volume: $25M
ISO 9001:2000 Certified
Implementation of lean manufacturing.

2001 :

Construction of a new warehouse bringing the plant surface area to 11,615 m² (125,000 ft²).
Expansion of offices.

2000 :

Creation of a new assembly area.


1999

Construction of a new painting room and purchase of a second machining center.

1998

Plant expanded to accommodate a new veneer department.

1997

Beaubois celebrates its 20th anniversary and now employs over 130 people. A fourth expansion means the plant now covers 4,830 m² (52,000 ft²).

1996

First company in its field in Canada to be certified ISO 9002.

1995

First architectural woodwork contract for a U.S. courthouse: Edward W. Brooke Courthouse, Boston, Massachusetts ($3M).

1991

First architectural woodwork contract in the USA: University of Southern Maine Library in Portland, Maine.

1990

Second international contract: Nevis Four Seasons Hotel in the Caribbean ($1M).

Initial plant expansion. Plant now covers 2,300 m² (24,000 ft²). Annual sales: $5M.

1986

First international contract: Algiers War Museum, Algeria.

1985

First major turnkey interior design contract: Price Waterhouse, Montreal, Quebec ($1.2M).

First important contract: Major post office facilities in Ville Saint-Laurent, Quebec. The team is initially made up of 25 people. Annual sales: $0.5M.

Beaubois Ltée is founded. The brand new plant covers 1,672 m² (18,000 ft²).
